Some quotes that inspire my approach

The mediocre teacher tells.
The good teacher explains.
The superior teacher demonstrates.
The great teacher inspires.

- William Arthur Ward

An understanding heart is everything in a teacher… One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our human feelings. The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child.

- Carl G. Jung

You are a child of God.
We are all born to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

- Marianne Williamson

No man can reveal to you ought but that which already lies half asleep in the dawning of your knowledge. The teacher who walks in the shadow of the temple, among his followers, gives not of his wisdom but rather of his faith and his lovingness. If he is indeed wise he does not bid you enter the house of his wisdom, but rather leads you to the threshold of your own mind.

- Kahlil Gibran

When the National Science Foundation asked the "breakthrough" scientists what they felt was the most favourable factor in their education, the answer was almost uniformly, "Intimate association with a great, inspiring teacher.“

- R. Buckminster Fuller

Life is not a 'brief candle'. It is a splendid torch that I want to make burn as brightly as possible before handing on to future generations.

Some men see things as they are and ask why. Others dream things that never were and ask why not.

- George Bernard Shaw

Poetry of Life

- Ingrid Smith

I feel myself becoming more rooted
within the Subtle Origin.
There is a quiet knowing deep within me
that knows I have much work to do,
that this is part of my life’s purpose.
I am but an instrument
of the universal oneness
through whose guidance
my life will add another verse
to the infinite poetry of life.
Much of my life up to this moment
has revolved around unravelling
the mystery of life.
I am beginning to appreciate the greater mystery
of weaving the tapestry of life
that is ever present, yet ever new.
I am seeing that
to unravel is to understand through the mind;
to weave is to connect through the soul.
